Before I go into the update details, I’d like to kind of talk about rhodesia for a bit. No, I am not closing the site. I’d just like to tell you all about what goes on behind the site.

Honestly, I’ve owned rhodesia for over four years now and for about the past two or three it has become somewhat of an afterthought for me. Something I update whenever I get around to it rather than actually setting aside some time for the site. The realization of that saddened me, to be honest. rhodesia has become something near and dear to me, so I don’t want to let it go. Or more like I won’t let it go. Not yet, at least.

rhodesia has become somewhat of a pillar in my life. If the going gets tough and I need an escape, this is what I’ve got. That said, rhodesia will probably stick around until I feel that I don’t need that type of pillar anymore. I started rhodesia back in 2006 to branch out and try to spread my own wings, so to speak, in the graphic design world. Now the site has become something so much more than that. It’s my creative outlet, it’s something that puts me at peace, it’s something I very much enjoy and treasure.

To be honest, I’m kind of a lazy person that never really sticks to one thing for very long. In that sense, I’m amazed rhodesia hasn’t died off because of my flighty personality. However, at the same time I’m also very stubborn and that stubbornness is probably a good part of the reason rhodesia is still here. From now on, I’m setting aside some time in my schedule to properly maintain this site. No more afterthought/only when I feel like it updates.

Note that this doesn’t actually mean I’ll be updating every week or few weeks. I’ll probably update at least once a month, however. I just feel really, really bad that I’ve been inadvertently treating this site so badly for the past few years.

Anyway, updates hoy.

- Cleared up affiliates. Affiliation is now open for 3 spots. Affiliates that have been removed are more than welcome to tell me when they come back, if they do, and I’ll be happy to re-affiliate!
- New layout. Darker this time, yay!

It’s been a while, no? To be completely honest, this update is long overdue because I was wasting more time on vdex than working on an update. Also, my laptop got fixed so transferring stuff was time consuming as well.

On the upside, this update is fairly sizable! There’s a new layout because, while I really liked it, I was getting bored of the old one. It’s not too flashy or anything, but I like it. Easy to look at and puts emphasis on content rather than itself. /nod.

Layout aside, I have a question for everyone. What would you like to see on rhodesia? I do make larger icons for things like vdex and last.fm that I can post. While I don’t make one very often, I also make the occasional wallpaper if anyone is interested in stuff like that too. I’d love to expand the site a little from just icons, but icons are pretty much my go-to graphic. Whatever I do add will be an occasional thing, but I don’t want to add something that there’s no real demand for.

I’m up for pretty much any of the following:
- Larger sized icons (150×150, 150×200, 126×206 etc.)
- Wallpapers (both computer and PSP if anyone is interested in PSP ones)
- Resources (tutorials and the like. Not so much textures or patterns)
- Suggestions on what to icon etc. I’m open to anything, guys!

And no, I won’t do premade layouts again. I have a hard enough time getting myself to code my own layouts to begin with. orz.

Anyway, now that that’s out of the way, content time. Let’s just pretend my Green and Trial Triangle bias isn’t showing in the Pokemon icons. Okay? Okay!

Hi guys! This is a pretty small update for two reasons. Firstly, rhodesia is turning 4-years-old in a few weeks! How exciting! Owning rhodesia thus far has been such a fun and rewarding experience. I never want to let it go! ♥

Secondly, I want to have a larger update ready for rhodesia’s birthday. I really didn’t want to wait another 2 weeks to get this layout up though, so I’m just posting what I already had made. /shrug. It’s not much, but it is substantial.

Once again, I’m going to say there is some mild language in the text icons. I doubt anyone cares, but I’ll point it out to be respectful to those who don’t wish to see it.
